Meet TY ARBOGAST

Hi, I’m Ty Arbogast, and I’ve been racing since I was 5 years old. Even though no one in my family raced before me, I fell in love with the sport from the start and worked hard to become a champion driver. Racing isn't just about speed for me; it’s about pushing through challenges—like my battle with Crohn’s Disease, which I was diagnosed with when I was 11. I was also diagnosed Failure to Thrive at 18 months old and with Alopecia Areata at 10. My diagnoses have never defined me. Along with racing, I train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and compete in Cross Country and Track & Field with my school. I’m honored to be a junior driver for Ed Carpenter Racing especially as I transition to compete in the Formula 4 USA Championship series, racing for the Rase Marketing and Management team. Off the track, I enjoy fishing, sim racing, and making sure I keep my grades at an A level because staying sharp in school is just as important to me as being fast on the track, as my parents require all A's of me to race.

As a Riley Kid (Riley Children's Foundation), I observed many children who were afraid to talk about their illness. It inspired me to start a movement that encourages others to talk about their illnesses, even if its simply to educate a bully at school. This, along with my journey with Crohn’s, led me to start Racing with Crohn’s. Racing with Crohn's is foundation created to raise awareness, support research, and help other children also affected by Crohn’s disease. I started it to show others that even though you might face tough obstacles, you can still chase your dreams. Through the foundation, I’ve had the opportunity to give back to the community in many ways, including speaking as the 2023 Mission Speaker for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and being recognized as their 2024 Pediatric Honoree. Racing with Crohn's partnership with Cruz Pedregon Racing has been amazing, and I’m excited to keep growing both on the track and in the work we do. My goal is to inspire others by showing that Crohn’s doesn’t define me—it drives me to be even better.

Whether I am speeding down the track, working on Racing with Crohn's, speaking as an advocate, raising funds for research, or participating in a research study my mission stays the same: to show that with heart, determination, and resilience, you can overcome challenges. As I continue to push forward in my racing career, I'm driven by the belief that my journey can help others chase their own dreams despite obstacles. Thank you for taking the time to be a part of my journey.
